Youth Challenge Series Meet Info - adidas Grand Prix Qualifier!Published by
On May 18, their will be a Youth Challenge Series Meet held at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island. This meet will be the qualification for the youth events at the adidas Grand Prix IAAF Diamond League meet.

Please review the information below for updated information on the May 18th - Youth Challenge Series Meet which will also serve as the qualification for the youth events at the adidas Grand Prix.
The meet will take place on Sunday, May 18th at Icahn Stadium located on Randall's Island. Entries are currently open on www.coacho.com and will close sharply at 12pm. We do expect a large entry and late entries will not be accepted!
adidas Grand Prix Youth Qualifiers
Boys and Girls 8 and under 100m Dash
The event is open to any child who has reached their 7th birthday and who has not reached their 9th birthday, as of June 14, 2014. All children must enter the Spring Fling Youth Invitational by registering on CoachO.com. The top 8 boys and top 8 girls based on time will advance to the 100m final being held at the adidas Grand Prix on June 14th at Icahn Stadium. Athletes must be registered USA Track & Field member or members of the New York Road Runners Mighty Milers or Young Runners Program.
Boys and Girls 1 Mile Run
The event is open to Division 3 Youth Athletes (born 2002-2003) All athletes must enter either the April 13th or the May 18thto be eligible for advancement entries to be competed through CoachO.com. The top 2 boys and top 2 girls based on time will automatically advance to the 1 Mile final. The remainder of the field will be based off of results from the April 13th and May 18th and personal best times from the 2014 outdoor season.
Boys and Girls 4 X 400m Relay
The event is open to any club team sponsoring a YOUTH DIVISION relay. All athletes must be in the youth division, as designated by the USATF 2014 age divisions, being born in 2000 or 2001, ONLY. All clubs and athletes must be registered USA Track & Field clubs, AAU Clubs, or members of the New York Road Runners Mighty Milers or Young Runners Program. All relay team members must registered members of the same club. Ages will be verified. All children must enter the Spring Fling Youth Invitational by registering on CoachO.com. The top 8 boys teams and top 8 girls teams based on time will advance to the 4 X 400m final. Only one relay team per sex can qualify for the adidas Grand Prix.
Each individual qualifier will receive one athlete and one coaches credential. Relay teams will receive four athletes and one coaches credential.
Age verifications will be performed for all athlete who qualify for the finals. Athlete who are not within the age limits will be disqualified.
Coaches and Parents must fill out an athlete information and declare their participation in the adidas Grand Prix prior to leaving Icahn Stadium on May 18th.
The adidas Grand Prix will be on site selling tickets for the adidas Grand Prix. Team discounts are available for teams purchasing bulk tickets for the event. More information about the adidas Grand Prix can be found atwww.adidasgrandprix.com.
